Once a year, as a Wella Master Colour Expert, I am invited to the Wella studios in Manchester for the Master Colour congress.
I graduated as a Wella Master Colour Expert, the hairdressing industry’s most prestigious colour course, in 2011. Wella Professionals run the Master Colour Expert programme to further develop established colourists and ensure that we are the very best in our field. Being awarded with this fantastic qualification, makes us the most sought-after and in-demand professional colour specialists in the country.
Colour isn’t just a trend-let creative process, it’s a technical speciality which requires years of training and constant education to keep ahead of the game and up to speed on trends, techniques and product updates.
The Master Colour Expert Congress invites top artists from across the country to demonstrate their latest colourist creations. This year the guest artist was Claire Chell, who is the colour director for the Francesco group and a Wella Professionals Colour Club member. Claire did 3 models and focused on the next trend for Spring/Summer 2017, a technique called hair contouring using colour. Heard about facial contouring using dark and light foundations? Used correctly, these foundations and contouring can slim your face and highlight your best features - colour contouring is a technique that can visually add volume to the hair or enhance your best facial features, clever eh?
You can have a look at the models that Claire did on my Instagram page here.
Colour contouring is a technique offered as part of the couture colouring service offered by Wella Master Colourists. To book for your couture colour consultation call 07957216017.
