Part of the Wella Master Colourist training looks in depth at skin tone and the client’s natural colouring. Having the right hair
colour makes such a difference to how you look and feel.
Hair colour that doesn’t match your skin tone can make you look washed out. Any bags or dark circles under your eyes will be exaggerated as will skin blemishes and wrinkles. In addition, as we mature, we find that what we could carry off as a younger person is not so forgiving in later years and the wrong hair colour can add years to our overall look.
During a hair colour consultation I always assess skin tone and use this information to choose the right colour for a client. Technical knowledge enables me to place colours around the face that suit the client, not just skin tone but also face shape. This is the basis for hair colour contouring. This is useful if a client has a colour they like and are happy with as the change can be added around the face and the client can keep the main colour.
Hair colours you suit and look good with naturally apply to the colours of your clothes and make up. Colour me Beautiful image consultants have been helping people identify the colours and clothes styles that suit them for the past 35 years.
Louise Rivers is a Colour Me Beautiful Image Consultant based in Horsforth, Leeds. We have teamed up as our respective services compliment each other and will be recommending each others services to our clients and occasionally holding events at Mango Hair Salon where clients can come along and have an introduction to colour and style consultation.
The first event, an introduction to colour analysis, with Louise doing a short presentation and answering any questions, will be on the 16th August 2017 from 7p.m to 9 p.m at Mango Hair Salon. Check the Facebook page or call 07957216017 for details.
